Electronic registration of representation (REPRESENTA)

The Electronic Register of Powers of Attorney, created by Law 39/2015 (article 6), makes it possible to record the representations that citizens, professionals and companies grant to third parties to act on their behalf before public administrations.

It represents is a common electronic register of powers of attorney offered by the Open Administration of Catalonia and allows the registration of representation relationships between any natural or legal person.

This service allows representative people to deal with public administrations on behalf of other people without having to present, for each new management, the documents that accredit them to do so.

How?

Internet:

You can process the registration by accessing theElectronic register of representations and powers of attorney.

In person:

If you need help processing the registration, and you are not part of thesubjects required to process online, you can contact the Citizen Attention Office, where they will inform you and, if you need it because you do not have the means to do so, they will help you complete, sign and submit the form on your behalf.

If the person granting powers (power of attorney) and the person who will obtain the representation (representative) are both natural persons, you have the option to come together at the Citizens' Service Office, by prior appointment.

Any natural or legal person (called 'power of attorney' or 'represented person'), who wants to designate another person as their representative

A representative person can also request the registration of a power of representation previously given by the authorized person, by means of a document verified by a notary public, usually notarized.

Documents required

If you are the person representing: The document in which the powers of attorney were granted to you must be attached.

Only notarized documents or private documents verified by any other public notary are accepted.

If in the notarial document no CSV (Secure Verification Code) is listed, please note the following:

  • If you present it at a registry office, it must be a first copy issued by the notary.
  • If you submit it online it must be a true copy (provided by a registration assistance office).

If you are the powerful person, you can grant representation without attaching any documents (representation apud acta). The representative will then have to accept the representation.
